Yeah yeah I know I'm back and all that. But till the new year, i'm probably going to be posting pix from the trip cuz 1. there are so many. 2. i love all of it and want to show off the most (though yeah lots of it on Flickr). 3. I'm going to be living mostly in my dreams and not seeing much of what is around cuz I don't want to.

On the steps of Parliament House... and they were only one of the plenty bridal parties that were there. Apparently it is a popular photo spot for wedding day. Or maybe because it is saturday and that is wedding day here... coaches (literally) carrying the bride and groom, old cars and bridesmaids and well, i don't see any supporters for the groom...

Anyone who has studied in India knows this ritual. That cart outside school, strictly forbidden by parents and sometimes schools too but kids still manage to get their dose of icecandies, golas, chaat and various other things.
In my time, it was "lollies" - colored ice in a little tube packet for 50 ps or a buck and yummies - chips shaped like rings. And eternal favorites - maize and mango pulp.
What's the current craze?
Makes me a little nostalgic. Always love the sight of those glittering, clean, wine glasses hanging at the bar... and reminds me of the time I spent hours polishing those glasses at a restaurant so they looked so beautiful.
